Thank you all for another amazing season!
We enjoy creating a memorable experience for our guests but getting to actually share in that with you is what takes the cake. It is exciting to see more and more guests come from across the country (and across the ocean!) to experience what the BC backcountry has to offer.
This year saw a few records….
We have never experienced so many -30°C days as we did this season! While it wreaked havoc on our machinery, it brought beautiful bluebird days and light fluffy powder to a typically grey and dreary December/January. Some of you seemed right at home but for those of us on the west coast, well…we prefer it a touch warmer.
After a dry(ish) February, the skies opened up in March and it snowed…and snowed…and kept snowing clean through to our closing day in April! We finished the season with at least 4 ft of snow at the lodge and well over 12 ft in the riding areas. It was December riding at its finest even on April 18th.
When all is said and done…
It was a record season as well. It has been exciting to see the business grow and expand with each year bringing new challenges as our demographic shifts and changes. This season saw more guests come from the East Coast which meant more guiding and more rentals. Sharing the BC backcountry with guests who have never ridden in the mountains before often reminds us of just how lucky we are to have this beautiful creation in our backyard.
Again, we thank you for another season and we are already looking forward to next December. Stay tuned over the summer as we have some big projects in store!
We look forward to seeing all of you next season
