Summer Activities at Grizzly Lodge

Hiking up to Pukeashun Mountain in Spring

Our primary season at the lodge is of course winter for the amazing snowmobiling. But the lodge is still here during summer, so is all that great mountain terrain and that means there’s lots to do.

Fishing

There are a number of high elevation lakes in the area that support nice populations of wild Rainbow Trout. Fly fishing from a float tube or trolling lures from a canoe is sure to land you a nice size trout.

Hiking and Wildlife Viewing

The alpine meadows of Pukeashun Mountain are wonderful for hiking. A sea of wildflowers and stunning views will satisfy any avid hiker. Opportunities abound for viewing wildlife with moose, black bear, mountain goats, and grizzly bear being common large animals in the area. Birds and smaller alpine species are also visible in the region.

Pukeashun Provincial Park has a network of established trails that are well marked.

Quading

Many trails around the area are accessible by all terrain vehicles, with some trails taking you right up into open alpine terrain.
